How will the gabion basket interact with my plants?

One of my favorite things about gabion baskets is that after a few years, your plants will start growing on them. The vegetation around the basket adapts to it, growing as needed. As a result, baskets have little environmental impact compared to the concrete blocks that people often use for retaining walls. Of course, you can also fill the basket with recycled products like concrete - it's adaptable. Either way, using a gabion basket as a retaining wall means using more natural and recyclable products in your yard.
